You are probably aware that Target recently experienced unauthorized access to payment card data in U.S. stores from November 27th through December 15, 2013.
Only a small percentage of TCCU debit and credit card holders were impacted; this incident does not reflect a TCCU security breach.
If you did not use your TCCU debit or credit cards for purchases at Target
during this period, this will not impact you.
We are working diligently to contact these few individuals to provide new debit and credit cards. If you are on the list of compromised cards, WE WILL CONTACT YOU either by PHONE or by FORMAL LETTER, or by eMAIL from a TCCU Staff member. For security reasons we do not employ the use of SMS/texts to our members regarding sensitive information.
You may continue to safely use your TCCU debit and credit cards.
If we do not contact you within the next few business days, your card number information was not on the compromised list and no action is needed on your part.
As a reminder:
- Monitor your TCCU accounts at all times & verify all transactions 24/7 online, reporting any questionable transactions immediately.
- DO NOT respond to emails, texts, or phone calls asking for your PIN#, Account#, Card#, or CCV#. As your financial institution, we already have this information on record. We MAY contact you by email simply in an effort to reach you if we are unable to reach you by the phone number we have on file for you. If you receive an email from TCCU, you may contact us by phone to verify its legitimacy.
- If you experience any questionable or fraudulent activity during our regular hours of operation, (Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.) please contact our call center at 817-884-1470 x 0.
- If you experience any issues with your debit or credit cards after hours, or during the weekend, please call:
